Top 5 Underrated CFM Rosters

Picking at the bottom half of your CFM’s team selection? Look for one of these five teams to get the steal of the team draft and start your Madden 20 on the right foot.

5 – Cincinnati Bengals

For a team that tends to be picked late in CFMs, the Bengals boast a roster full of with plenty of playmakers and depth. X-factor AJ Green And Geno Atkins really open up the game. With extra focus on AJ, John Ross’s speed becomes even more of a weapon, and Joe Mixon should be one of the more useful all around backs in the AFC which could make for a tough to stop offense that can beat you on the ground and in the air. On defense, Geno is the obvious bright spot in a defensive line that also features Carl Lawson and Carlos Dunlap. Behind that line is where there is some developmental pieces but really a struggle in terms of finding star power. This could be possibly because every bengals top pick for the last 4 years suffered and injury so madden hasn’t treated them well in regards to their ratings. Overall, if your league doesn’t have their most dominant users in Cleveland or Baltimore, it may be worth taking Cincy.

4 – Oakland Raiders

Draft day saw Oakland take three players from the CFB national championship game. Adding in a pass rusher and corner to a young defense is the first step in the rebuild. Not to mention they have Chicago’s first rounder in the upcoming draft as well. The Raiders splashed a bit this offseason bringing in X factor Antonio Brown and a versatile safety in Lamarcus Joyner to build onto their young roster. Another, more madden focused, signing is Arizona receiver JJ Nelson. This creates an interesting dynamic with X factor AB, 6ft4 Tyrell Williams, and 96 speed JJ Nelson. If that doesn’t convince you to pick this offense, factor in the young defensive picks and future picks for the rebuild.

3 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The trend in these teams is really just a talented defensive front seven and some offensive weapons. The buccaneers draft Devin White to play next to David, and being in Suh to replace McCoy. Vita Vea is a rising second year talent and for you User LB gods, they also signed Deone Buchanan. What really makes the Bucs shine is their receiving corps. Mike Evans is unguardable when in the zone and OJ Howard and Chris Godwin are speedy physical pass catchers who can help shoulder the load from goal line to goal line. It will be really hard to stop this team in the red zone with the athleticism they have. They really are a running back upgrade from being one of the most complete offenses in the league.

2 – New York Jets

Another team that splashed in the offseason, the Jets add X factor LeVeon Bell and talented MLB CJ Mosley. This defense is absolutely stacked. From the third overall pick in Quinnen Williams next to Leonard Williams, to Mosley and Avery Williamson and Jamal Adams, this defense is young and flat out talented. Expect Trumaine Johnson to be the feature cornerback but with most of the key offensive positions taken care of, you can draft that corner year one. On offense you have a speedy Robby Anderson matched by a big, fast physical specimen in Quincy Enunwa. This is the team for a guy who prides himself mainly on playing a patient game to set up the final kill. Using Bell in the running and short pass game will open up the deep ball to Robby Anderson and once you get the lead, the defense is strong enough to hold it.

1 – San Francisco 49ers

Every league I am in sees this roster drop down in the team selection and I don’t understand it. On offense, George Kittle alone is enough to warrant interest, but Deebo Samuel, Dante Pettis,a potentially 96/97 speed Marquise Goodwin, and newly signed Tevin Coleman just gets my hyped up just thinking about it. Not to mention Jimmy G who, despite his injury, still be a serviceable quarterback. On defense you have flat out talent. X factor Richard Sherman, a speedy Tartt, new additions in Jason Verett, Dee Ford and Kwon Alexander. Like how is this roster allowed to exist? Oh yeah let’s not forget a devastating defensive line in Deforest Bruckner and Solomon Thomas so much power and pass rush up front, speed in the back end at corner and linebacker, superstar talent on offense. If only they had a true edge rusher…..oh wait…they picked Nick Bosa at 1.2 this year. PICK SF NOW!
