NFC South
As the Panthers come down from their post season high, they start 2021 off on a bumpy start. Sitting at 1-2, their lone win came week one against the Falcons who had them in deep waters heading in to the fourth. The Buccaneers ownership change has also been rough as they league did not expect a 1-2 start, but once examined we see a hurt Mike Evans, no long term answer at quarterback, and a defensive secondary that needs some work. Expect Tampa to get healthy and become a contender. The Falcons boast an impressive performance against Dallas to match their close battle with Carolina but no effort has matched that of the Saints so far who, similar to last year, have shown their dominance of the division.
NFC East
One of the most competitive divisions last season, the two QB effort by Dallas has proven successful thus far with a very impressive win over the Eagles. The Eagles have proven to be one of the more effective high octane offenses in the league with 49 and 52 point performances against stout defensive users. The Giants lead the division with a quiet 3-0 with the domination of the most confusing MVP winner ever but are averaging a league best 40 points per game and 190 rushing yards per game.
NFC North
The Packers 2020 year was largely forgotten due to two key playoff suspensions. They start this season with not one, but two losses, both 24-27 defeats, the Packers struggles passing the ball have plagued their ability in late games, but a botched overtime FG was the difference between 2-1 for this team. The Bears and Lions are both winless to this point so it is the Vikings who take the top spot but after a tough beat to Philly, they have a tough road of defenses ahead to prove if they are ready for the top spot.
NFC West
The only division with 3 undefeated teams left, the Seahawks, Niners, and Cardinals are in a dead tie at the top of the group. Out of the three it has to be Seattle that looks the most impressive, especially on defense allowing a league best 12 points per game They come out of their bye week against the Vikings which may be a film room worthy game. The Cardinals are right behind Seattle allowing 14 points per game and have shown explosiveness on offense behind the speedster Damiere Byrd and dual threat abilities of Kyler Murray but don’t sleep on the leagues best rushing offense as they will be tested against Dallas after their bye. The Niners look to return to the playoffs behind the wheels of Matt Breida who is off to a slow start finding the end zone just once in the first three games of the season.
