The NFC South is top heavy, but boasts two Top Madden Champions. This cycle they will fight each other for the top spot while chances are the other will wind up with a wildcard seed. The NFC South has a bit of history in Top with multiple championships from Saints users the past few cycles but outside of that, it has been largely forgotten about. This year, expect the south to produce at least one Super Bowl title.
Schedule – NFC North/ AFC West
Jordan – Saints
Jordan joined Top in M18 and won his first super bowl within a few seasons. In m19, during his first stint in the NFC South as Tampa, he was able to secure his first Super Bowl appearance of the cycle in the 5th and final season but lost a tough game to Pest’s Cleveland Browns. After a M20 cycle in purple (Baltimore/Minnesota) Jordan will return to the south as the 93 overall New Orleans Saints. With a game built mainly on defense, Jordan is crafty enough on offense to utilize the insane talent available to him and will be an early favorite for the NFC title.
Dan – Panthers
Part of the OG Jordan crew, Dan joined and was known across the league for his defensive ability as the M19 Texans. In M20 he made the jump on offense to become a super bowl champion. Dan’s success has been contributed to the two insane rosters he had in SF and then Cleveland where he built, quite honestly, the best Madden franchise team to ever exist. Dan made quick work of the AFC for multiple seasons and dominated Willie’s Panthers in the SB. This year he looks to dominate AS the panthers. A team built on speed and young defensive talent, Dan will have more than enough talent to dev and compete with.
Mamba – Buccaneers
Mamba enters his second Top Madden cycle with a chance to prove himself. He was .500 in M20 with a Packers team that wasn’t really developed well for his playstyle. This season he has one of the most complete offenses that M21 has to offer and some really talented defensive pieces. While there isn’t an expectation that he will be able to compete for the playoffs, he may be a dark horse pick for the 7th wildcard spot the EA so generously blessed us with.
Grid – Falcons
From one cap hell to another, Grid will have to play the cap management game for another cycle in Atlanta. Which players he chooses to keep and move are going to be extremely important to his success. He was a 9 win user in KC and Washington last cycle after trading away their two fastest receivers, so maybe Grid’s offense has improved to where he can create a problem for Dan/Jordan all cycle.
