Week 3 Recap: An MVP Candidate Emerges

A shorter recap this week as I am busy, but fret not! The content will continue to come!

Buffalo Bills Emerge as Top AFC Team

While there have been many standout performances across the league, one team has put in their name as the team to beat in their conference. That team being none other than SoleDrive’s Buffalo Bills. A dominant performance this week against the football team came in all phases. First, the defense shut out Washington the second half and allowed just one touchdown on the day. But it was a 31 point second quarter that really set the tone. Josh Allen led the charge with 4 passing touchdowns while running back Zack Moss scored his 4th touchdown in two games. Buffalo ranks Top 5 in total yards, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and rushing touchdowns. On defense they are top 5 in QB sacks and rank 2nd in interceptions tied with Minnesota.

Allen makes his early case for MVP with 10 Touchdowns, 983 Yards and a 71% completion rate.

Danny Downfall?

Danny and 0-3 are not usually a pair that Top Madden users associate together, but simply put the Cowboys are struggling to figure things out. To make things worse, they just traded their first round pick to Denver. On paper, they have no real glaring issues but rather, have had really bad luck in the second half against the leagues premier rosters. Losing by a field goal in week 1 to the NFC leading Buccaneers, losing a 24-0 lead against the Chargers in week 2, and this week a crushing blow by Jalen Reagor put Philly over the Cowboys late. We all know Danny to be one of the more stout defensive users as well as the leagues best passer by far, but it seems that for now, the state of the game has closed the skill gap Danny once held and there’s adjustments to be made. Fret not Cowboy faithful, if theres anyone to right the ship under immense pressure, its young Danny.

Rumors of QB Deal in New Orleans

Despite being off to a hot 2-1 start, GMoney and the Saints organization feel that without an upgrade at the helm of the offense, this success wont last. Our insider reports tell us the Saints have reached out to multiple west coast teams in search of a deal that lands them their guy to continue their winning ways.

Players of the Week

Tom Brady was damn near perfect going 21/22 in his masterclass of quarterback play against the Rams. Totaling 4 touchdowns and no turnovers, Brady shines earning his first M22 Player of the Week award.

In a tight battle against the Raiders, it was the efforts of Byron Jones that kept Miami in contention. Jones was able to score not one, not two, but three interceptions in Sundays game earning him this weeks honor of Defensive Player of the week.
