As we approach the midway point on the season, a few exceptional seasons are in the making. Lets peak the some of the MVP front runners and their best performances.
Derrick Henry – HB – TEN
Henry not only leads the league in rushing, but he is on pace for 2,624 yards and 32 touchdowns. With two performances over 230 yards Henry has been near unstoppable. His worst game on the season was against the Steelers where he still averaged 6.5 yards per carry and scored twice. Henry has kept the Titans above .500 at 4-2 as they enter their bye week.

Joe Mixon – HB – CIN
Joe Mixon has been the shining light on an abysmal start for the Bengals. While he is doing literally everything he can to gain yards on the ground, he has found ways to make an impact. In the receiving game. Mixon is on pace for Top Maddens only 1k/1k season ever for a running back. The question of durability and records is what the only thing holding him back

Julio Jones – WR – ATL
At 31, the leagues leading receiver stands prime for his first MVP award. On pace for just over 2k on the year, Julio is averaging 126 yards per game with 4 straight 120+ yard performances. Tho he is as dominant as ever, a lack of the end zone continues to plague the leagues top receiver and will be vital if he wants to contend for the MVP belt.

Jacob Eason – QB – IND
Eason is really the only quarterback that is standing out from a stats standpoint. Eason has thrown multiple touchdown passes in all but one game (week 5 @ CLE) and has thrown just 1 interception in his last three games. With the trend continuing as expected Eason is well on his way to being rookie of the year and quarterback of the AFC #1 seed. If that doesn’t spell MVP then I don’t know what does.

Raheem Mostert – HB – SF
Mostert started the year off extremely fast with an impressive game against AZ week 1 and followed that up with 205 yard performance against the Jets. Similar to Henry, Mostert has only failed to reach 100 yards in one game, but he has reached the end zone in all 6 games this year. Mostert is so deadly with his speed and a game built on finesse may see him shine later in the year compared to the bruiser Henry.
