Top Madden Preseason Power Rankings

We are closer and closer to league start, and as you know, there is nothing like a good list to piss everyone off.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers – Warren

Does this shock…anyone? Warren is matched up with his favorite team but don’t expect even that to convince him to wear a jersey with another man’s name on it. My recommendation, if you want a chance at beating Warren this cycle, schedule a game right after his hockey games.

2. Los Angeles Rams – Danny

This offense is a match made in heaven for Danny. Many argue Danny is the most dominant passing game in Top. Rarely does he make a mistake, and Kupp/Puka are perfect compliments to his play style. The path to staying atop this division over the many years starts and ends with the QB position. Expect him to be an early favorite for the NFC title

3. Detroit Lions – Fin

The combination of roster and playstyle matches up well here. Fin’s best seasons came with Todd Gurley and Tarik Cohen led rushing attacks. Combine that with 3 elite madden receiving targets and the best OL in the league, teams will be hard pressed to stop Detroit on offense. The self set expectation is Fin doesn’t leave Madden 25 without his second Super Bowl.

4. Kansas City Chiefs – Ptown

Watching the CFB league, Ptown seems to be heavily back into madden. Pair that with 3 new users in his division and the b2b Super Bowl champs… Ptown is certainly a heavy hitter in the AFC. The challenge for Ptown is really to not get bored and trade away his elite pieces.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars – Austin

Trevor Lawrence has gunslinger. Austin is an pass offense demon. Brian Thomas has 95 speed. Etienne is disgusting. Seriously what else does he need? oh ya two high end pass rushers. Austin returns to Top and is rid of the Pats roster. This is another matchup I am excited to see develop.

6. Miami Dolphins – Mindfire

Has it been awhile since Dan has been dominant in Top, yes. But has he been dominant before? also yes. He gets his Dolphins team for the first time and I know he’s fired up. Dan has his reputation as a defensive user, but the speed on offense is going to make possession against that defense matter even more.

7. Philadelphia Eagles – Donny

The trend continues of power users with OP teams. The Eagles are in great shape, and the defense has hit its transition phase as the new talent develops. A Top Madden SB champion, expect Philly to win the NFC East pretty much every year.

8. Atlanta Falcons – K1NG

If Kirk Cousins touches the field, I will be shocked, or maybe K1ng tests the new “sit your rookie for a year” dev story. Either way, you give a user like K1ng a team like Atlanta and good things happen. Bijan is a demon and Pitts at WR is genuinely prime Calvin Johnson. K1ng is finally considered among the elite users in Top, and sits only at 8 because the rosters above him.

9. Chicago Bears – Willie

Word on the street is Caleb Williams has X-factor, and I suddenly regret rigging the system to re-instate this rivalry with him. The Bears are set up for madden success with a defense that gets to the football and an offense that can score on any play.

10. Cincinnati Bengals – Harpdaddy

I had to give Harp his team because he’s mad at me about cpu generated conference games in CFB. Word on the street is Harp plans to bring an option heavy offense to Top this year. We have seen it with the bearcats, but will the cheese make its way to Madden? or is Brittle Burrow even going to last doing that?

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – A Hard

A hard has been a top member for a few years now. Not a big chat guy, but plays his games and has a challenging style. He plays roughly 40% of his snaps in empty formations and let me tell you, its a pain to deal with. I love a unique offense, and I expect A Hard competes with Atlanta for the division every year.

12. San Francisco 49ers – HattoriHanso

With Aiyuk on the block, its obvious that Hanso understands the future is important this cycle. Should he collect a high pick, Hanso will be a short and long term playoff threat from the Bay. He has a game that fits well in that he can be run heavy or pass heavy with little concern. The main issue is a tough NFC West chalk full of high level users.

13. Baltimore Ravens – Derek

For the first time in Top History, Derek has his guys. A defense that flies to the football, an elite power back, and a dynamic receiving corps is all a man could ask for….oh wait… what was that? A two time MVP 96 speed quarterback? …… say good bye to wildcard Derek..

14. Buffalo Bills – Juice

Josh Allen is the perfect madden quarterback, but I think the Bills are past being the perfect madden team. Expect a heavy dose of Keon Coleman early, but I am interested to see if Juice can build a roster and manage that cap. The trade block has been quiet from this team, but I expect them to find quality players to build.

15. Seattle Seahawks – Nekko

Word is this team is buying in on Geno and shipping Howell off to a new home. A true underrated roster, they have a great DB room, K9 is disgusting, and we can never forget the chuck it mentality to DK. Nekko slots in easily at 15 mainly because I am concerned on how he fares against LA and SF.

16. Houston Texans – Pittjas

I admit, I think this is a little low for a roster this good, and I like the user matchup. Pittjas starts the year with elite weapons on all phases of the offense and some clean new threads. I dark horse for the AFC South title, I expect to see him playing January football.

17. Cleveland Browns – KingJordan

A team that certainly is ready in the short term, Jordan upgrades from the Rams last year to Amari Cooper, Nick Chubb, and the one man show on defense Myles Garrett. I love the user alignment in the AFC North, easily the most difficult division in the AFC.

18. Green Bay Packers – Chris

Chris has impressed as South Carolina this year in CFB, and this Packers team is looking pretty nice. Its hard to see a wild card spot available for this team considering the year 1 schedule, but Chris is ever improving and we can’t wait to talk to him for a post game interview…as soon as he figures out how technology works.

19. Arizona Cardinals – Bos

Bos joins the Top family officially and slots in with Kyler Murray and the talented MHJ. Bos is a madden veteran, so being at 19 is not meant as a slight but rather a combination of roster, division, opponents. With how creative the offensive playbooks are, this is a prime year to have a QB like Kyler.

20. New York Giants – Gruff

I admit its been a while since I have watched Gruff play madden, and his games at UNC have been eventful. He takes over the highly desirable (somehow) Giants offense that is… in a rough spot. The shining stars will be the DL and the WR corps, and you know what… that;s the best kind of team, it reminds me of a well made taco..

21. Indianapolis Colts – Zuchinni

Josh returns to Top and lands a pretty unique offense late in team selection. Loading with offensive explosiveness, the Colts are certainly in a unique position to cause chaos. Josh hasn’t been in madden leagues for a while, so expect an adjustment period, but even he is smart to know you give the ball to JT and pound sand… i mean pound the rock.

22. Washington Commanders – Shrimp

The Commanders have every thing the Browns don’t: a purple heart running back, a high upside QB on a cheap deal, and cap space. Shrimp heads to DC to take on the world in what is sure to be a playoff team or a dumpster fire. Either way, he gets to actually be a part of the free agency progress and thats the real fun.

23. Las Vegas Raiders – Travvy

Please don’t take the low ranking as disrespect, we just aren’t familiar with your game. That being said, Travvy is hungry. He has secured the QB of the future in Sam Howell and he has asked more questions about the rule book than any top member ever. We love new blood in the league, sorry about Ptown in advance.

24. New York Jets – Old Blue Eyez

OBE is my favorite addition to top this cycle. Thank god I asked him to spare you guys his elite arguing skills. He is here to learn how these leagues work. He is a New York stan, and will lead an power packed offense in the AFC East. Whether he will compete for the division is tbd, but he certainly will be playing this game a lot.

25. Dallas Cowboys – Dillon

Derek and his brother get their favorite teams, but historically Top Members bringing their brothers to the league ends up bad. On the plus side, he knows not to trade Dak to Danny so either he has some sense, or he’s got his brother in his DMs.

26. New England Patriots – Davey

Davey is at 26 simply because he is playing catchup. A top madden champion returns after a hiatus from the game but I fear the roster is in too rough of a spot, and the game has evolved so much that he will need to re-establish an identity. That being said, at his best, Davey can hang with anyone in the league.

27. Minnesota Vikings – Jose

This might be a little low for the madden monarchy OG, but Jose too is returning to madden (or atleast Top) and JJ McCarthy is nothing to write home about. I’ve said it before, but Jose is the hitstick demon of Top, and with new boom tech, he might return to his old ways and be the turnover merchant. Harrison Smith reallllly needs to retire.

28. Los Angeles Chargers – B_Eazy

NB brother joins Top and I genuinely have no idea his skill level. Take this as motivation, because lord knows we need competitin for the Chiefs in that division. The QB position is solved and thats the best case scenario for a multi-sim season league where people will be scrambling for a QB over time.

29. Carolina Panthers – Philly Phan

Most guys down here are not low on the list due to skill level, but rather, the roster they have. Bryce Young is solid. But the panthers are still the panthers and he has an uphill battle in that division to compete for playoffs.

30. New Orleans Saints – Jackstone

Jack is a solid football player for 3 quarters, but it will be the last quarter that defines whether he can compete in Top. I think he can, and the Saints roster is underrated. A great defense, good pieces on offense and Alvin Kamara is always open.

31. Denver Broncos – Kevin

Good luck with this offense man. Genuinely a child could run this roster better. Bo Knows is the slogan Kevin is running with this year, and its up to him if Bo Knows anything other than failure.

32. Titans – ???

I have a potential Titans user. And lets just say, if he comes back….. this is a top 10 team.
