1. Iosefa Dora, Virginia Tech, SO, 92 OVR
Dora has made an incredible leap this offseason. As a true freshman he took VT to the Natty. The elite dev QB has incredible caps, great throw ratings, and the gold road dog to keep him composed in the harshest of environments.
2. DJ Lagway, Texas, SR, 90 OVR
Lagway wanted better things than Florida and the only offense better is Texas. An elite athlete, great arm, and plat extender. Lagway has the longhorns at 3-0 and on their way to a repeat, and you cant miss him in the Vince Young 10.
3. Johnny Applewhite, UCLA, JR, 83 OVR
Applewhite is expected to run in the low 4.2s when its time to go pro. For now, he terrorizes the league with his 99 speed. A little shakey on the accuracy side of things, he is simply unhinged, and if he doesn’t go pro watch out as he is completely un-capped in accuracy.
4. Elijah Brown, Stanford, SR, 92 OVR
Frank joins Top in place of Grid, and has a pro ready guy at the Helm. Elijah has ELITE accuracy and a big arm and Frank will need all of it to get out of this 0-2 hole.
5. Russ Chesley, Penn St, SO, 88 OVR
Russ is insane. This Field General archetype QB has 89 speed, a cannon arm, elite accuracy. Pair it with plat sleight of hand and pull down and Chesley is a favorite for the best QB in Top.
6. Tyran Duval, Washington, JR, 88 OVR
Duvall is a big time QB. Gold road dog, 90 speed, a solid arm and 2 more accuracy caps. He is incredible and a big reason why the Huskies are 3-0 and ranked 17th in the nation. Ahard is locked in this season, and the team has aged like wine.
7. Dylan Rizk, UCF, SR, 88 OVR
UCF has a reputation for their QBs moving the ball on the ground. This year, in the air. Rizk has elite accuracy and a solid arm. The Senior has finally been given the reigns and he looks to move this offense back into the CFP.
8. Pat Tobias, Cincinnati, SO, 87 OVR
Tobias has a big arm, and has developed well behind Sorsby the last 2 seasons. While he is capped out, he is big time in the pocket, and elite when he decides to tuck it. He leads an offense littered with skill position talent and could be a dark horse for best QB.
9. Dylan Raiola, Nebraska, SR, 88 OVR
Raiola has thrown a lot of INT in his tenure, but you can see why when you look at the 99 THP. Nebraska is must watch Top CFB and the aggressiveness of Dylan is why.
10. Eli Holstein, Pitt, SR, 87 OVR
This is a fun one,. A scrambler with 99 agility/cod and a big arm with 98 throw power. He has dev’d beautifully over the years and could put Pitt in contention for the Pac12 ring.
11. Miles O’Neill, TAMU, JR, 87 OVR
The big arm QB can make every throw on the field. The downside, the 14 unused upgrade points because he is in a glitched archetype. Miles is the kinda QB to give you the confidence that leads to 30 INTs.
12. Julian Sayin, USC, JR, 88 OVR
Julian is a very accurate sniper for the Trojans. The California kid leads a 10 man QB room and its the anticipation and accuracy that put him in the spot.
13. Ryan Puglisi, UGA, JR, 87 OVR
Ryan has a huge arm to pair with this talented group of receivers. Very accurate on the run and in the pocket, Ryan brings the arm talent UGA hasn’t seen since Jacob Eason.
14. Hauss Hejney, TCU, JR, 83 OVR
Big Hauss has the 95 speed that is coveted by this coaching staff. A bit of a unique situation with the 2 QB system, but TCU made a run last year with Hejney at the helm. Paired with Owen’s big arm (96 THP), TCU is looking to cause trouble in the Big12.
15. Walker White, Auburn, SR, 86 OVR
The wall as fallen, and the White Walker has made his way south to Auburn. White is mobile for the college level and a good arm that zips passes quickly in the short and intermediate game.
16. Christian Chase, Boise St, FR, 73 OVR
New coach, new QB. Christian Chase gets to start as an 18 year old. The big 6ft5 scrambler, Chase has gold field general and silver off platform. A lot of room to grow accuracy wise, Chase will be a force for seasons to come.
17. James Holley, Florida, SO, 79 OVR
Lagway leaving was unfortunate, but the big arm of Holley makes the loss a little easier to take. Sporting 96 throw power, Holley can push the ball downfield and his plat off platform ability will absolutely be put to work. This underclassman also has a lot of room stat cap to grow.
18. Judd Anderson, Miami, JR, 82 OVR
Judd may have the coolest name and one of the biggest arms of the group Sporting 96 throw power, the tall field general can push the ball down field, which matches PERFECTLY with the Miami offensive scheme. Judd has incredible stat caps and may see a huge jump going into his senior year.
19. Ted Pierce, FSU, SO, 83 OVR
The Seminole QB position has been a struggle a few seasons, and Pierce earned the job with his good mental ability of Field General, and silver scrambler abilities. He has decent accuracy ratings and 89 speed allows FSU to play the RPO game and limit the INTs that have plagued them.
20. Elton Schooler, Georgia Tech, FR, 83 OVR
Schooler is an elite dev freshman who may well be higher on future iterations of this list. That being said, he is accurate in all phases of the game which won him the spot over Bo Urban this year.
21. John Santos, Colorado, JR, 84 OVR
In his third year as a starter, Santos has the Buffalos at 3-0. He is a seasoned vet with solid abilities. The downside, he is capped out, and there’s 2 talented freshman on this team that could be competing for the job next season.
22. Mike Werner, Iowa, JR, 84 OVR
Werner is another big athletic guy who sports a strong arm. He leads a talented QB room and while he has all the skill to compete, he may lose his job to a young electric freshman here soon.
23. Taulia Lotulelei, Oklahoma, FR, 79 OVR
Taulia is a mobile guy with good accuracy. A little concerned as to why he is given the nod, but maybe the gold Field General is the reason. He is still young, and has great Caps for a QB, maybe OU is cookin.
24. Cooper Fruhmorgen, Ole Miss, FR, 75 OVR
Ole Miss forgoes not 1, not 2, but 3 better OVR QBs in favor of the insanely fast Cooper. At 92 speed and gold magician, Cooper is a wildcard in an offense that can put up points. Will the true freshman be able to handle these road games in the SEC? If not now, definitely after he fills these stat caps up. and He has a lot of room to grow.
25. Juan Stromberg, LSU, SO, 81 OVR
Juan didn’t expect to start this year, but the departure of Jeremy Kim has put him in the spotlight. He has a good arm, but still a bit raw. He does have 5 accuracy caps left, so there is a lot of room for growth for the Tiger.
26. Quan Scales, South Carolina, FR, 76 OVR
Scales is asked to step up in place of Sellers and he is up for the task. With silver headstrong, road dog he should be able to handle the road games and his 90 speed allows him to make plays with his legs as well as his touted arm.
27. Marcel Reed, Baylor, Sr, 80 OVR
This lacrosse team required atleast one black guy to start in the offense, so Reed (shockingly more athletic than Nathaniel Bennett) gets the nod. There’s a lot of freshman talent at this position for Baylor, but Reed is the upperclassman leading season 4.
28. Duke Lamp, Arizona St, FR, 77 OVR
The ASU faithful cheer the same phrase, I love lamp. The redshirt freshman has a lot of raw talent. At 88 speed his athleticism gave him the nod to start over the senior Leavitt. While he can compete, he has almost completely capped out and might be a candidate for a position change.
29. CJ Carr, Michigan, JR, 85 OVR
CJ is a very accurate thrower. If only someone was around to user him.
30. David Lord, NC State, SO, 85 OVR
Lord stole the spot from West who led this team to back to back ACC championships. How? for starters, he is extremely accurate deep, he has a great beard, and gold pull down. West is still there should the pack need him, but Lord is the alpha for now.
31. Austin Novosad, Oregon, SR, 85 OVR
Austin is a pocket fiend that Oregon is deciding to give reps over some…insanely fast QBs. The accuracy and senior leadership means something to the Oregon coaching staff, and Novosad has the job and the Ducks at 3-1.
32. Jake Merklinger, Tennessee, JR, 83 OVR
Jake is a solid QB, and a good arm for the SEC. While he doesn’t have an elite trait now, he has some of, if not the best, caps situation in the league, so hopefully there is a lot of growth this offseason for him.
