This season we have 5 conference championship games. Let’s take a dive into the must watch matchups of this week.
PAC-12: Baylor vs ASU
First Matchup Winner: Baylor
Many would say the PAC-12’s best team this season is missing from this game thanks to a Week 13 upset by Washington. With the Buffalos out of the way, the Bears have their eyes set on the Sun Devils for b2b PAC-12 titles. While Danny is probably the favorited user, with a stout defense, ASU has a wild card offense with elite speed in the passing game. Can he limit mistakes while keeping up with Dannys offensive fire power?
Prediction: Baylor 35 ASU 24
ACC: Florida St vs Georgia Tech
First Matchup Winner: Georgia Tech
The S1 ACC champ takes on the #1 ranked Yellow Jackets for the ACC Belt. Coming off a Week 13 loss to Florida, FSU is not only unranked but a win may not even guarantee them entry to the CFP. They will fight for their season against the 11-1 Yellow Jackets who sport an elite defense and an offense that has been able to get the job done. Don’t count out the come back king, Pest will be ready to go.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 45 FSU 38
SEC: Texas vs Ole Miss
First Matchup Winner: Texas
The heavy weight fight commences. Ptown has far surpassed CFB25 expectations, and he’s not done. He takes on the Goliath that is the defending champs in a show down for the ages. While both teams should expect to make the CFP, the BYE and the glory of SEC Champion will be worth the fight. I’m going under dog here.
Prediction: Ole Miss 28 Texas 24
B1G: Virginia Tech vs Iowa
First Matchup winner: Virginia Tech
If there is gonna be a game that ends quick, it’s this one. The first matchup was the most lopsided game in the season as VT won 65-0. That being said, Iowa can be a frustrating matchup for anyone, and if they can control time of possession, they can upset VT. Easier said than done vs a future 1st overall pick in Iosefa Dora. The true sophomore is up to 95 OVR and simply unreal this season.
Prediction: VT 45 Iowa 17
Big 12: UCLA vs TCU
First Matchup Winner: TCU
It feels like these two have played 100 times across their leagues. Ultimate speed meets ultimate speed. Two big time users with 2 unique styles of play. While TCU won the first matchup, containing Applewhite twice is no easy feat. The real matchup will be if TCU can throw the ball as well vs the stout UCLA pass rush with 2 90+ overall quick jump demons. True gem of a matchup.
Prediction: UCLA 35 TCU 24
