Top Madden Defensive MVP Prediction

While there is no league wide defensive player of the year award for Madden, let’s take a look at the top 5 defensive MVP candidates.

1. Marlon Humphrey – Baltimore Ravens, CB

A shocker to many, but in a division full of pass heavy players, expect Humphrey to shine early. With an elite free safety to help over top and limit passes to the deep middle, expect Humphrey to take more risks and see his numbers trend upwards.

2. Joey Bosa – Los Angeles Chargers, DE

Bosa was a dominant force without in-game traits in M19, so now expect more of the same if not more with the new mechanics and features of the new cycle. Ty is a smart coverage user and will open plenty of opportunities to let Bosa pin the ears back and terrorize the AFC.

3. Khalil Mack – Chicago Bears, Edge

The return of Alcatraz has come and the Warden wouldn’t be able to do his job without his head of security. Khalil is THE premier edge rusher in the NFL and Willie will put him in positions to beat his man, as if there is a man who Khalil can’t beat. No less than a 20 sack season for Mack.

4. Fletcher Cox – Philadelphia Eagles, DT

Forgotten among the glamorization of Aaron Donald is the equally impressive Fletcher Cox. The NFC East is not the strong division in terms of passing games, and Cox only makes life more difficult for them. The NFL game is changing and a premier interior defender is a key to success.

5. Bobby Wagner – Seattle Seahawks, MLB

While Boom’s game revolves mainly around the pass rush, let’s not for get the stick skill with the linebackers. While Wagner may not be the every down user linebacker for Seattle, he will be roaming the middle, every down. An absolute head ache to game plan against, Wagner is going to do dirty things to the NFC W users who don’t have the passing attacks that it takes to beat this defense.
